Dr. Andrew Wakefield either lost his license for fraud or because what he found was inconvenient and needed to be silenced.
We can't know which one it is without having total open access to every document of that time which is impossible. So what we believe in is hear say. If you trust the system you will believe that the official narrative is correct, if you don't that it's a convenient lie.
We can debate it for as long as we want but trust is broken between a slice of the population and the medical system. Trust is easy to break and very difficult to rebuild. And the cynical attitude of mainstream doctors will not help but hurt that trust.
And let's be honest: why does a doctor care about who believes what? The hippocratic oath doesn't force you to save the ones that don't want to be saved just to cause no harm and do your best.
